From the Band:
"Our goal is to introduce Indigenous Music within a context of heavy and hypnotic rock, while cultivating an awareness of progressive social, political and philosophical ideas.
Our music represents a model for interaction between first and third world cultures. By extracting samples of original indigenous music and combining them with high-powered, aggressive timbres and rhythms, we create a unique sound.
Our new album, ISHQ, is a further exploration of this new genre that has been critically acclaimed worldwide for its musical innovation as well as its timely political message."
Reviews:
"This is a fascinating concept...unlike anything you've ever heard...Might we have a new sub genre here? Progressive World Rock...Highly recommended" -- Progression
"If Led Zeppelin had chosen to turn 'Kashmir' into a career - and smartened up their lyrics considerably - they might have sounded like Paranoise...Real Revolution rock like this is a rarity" -- Boston Phoenix
"Paranose is the Deep Forest of heavy progressive rock" -- Kinesis
"Without a doubt, the most original album of the year"
-- Progresive World
